Pastor Gary Walsh Jr. (Pastor “G”), accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 9 at Rose Olivet Baptist Church of San Francisco, CA.  He has always had a passion for serving in the church.  Pastor G accepted his call to the preaching ministry in 1988. He was licensed in 1989 and ordained in 2007. 

Pastor G faithfully served as the Youth & Young Adult Pastor and Senior Pastor’s assistant for several years at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in San Francisco (Rev. Kenneth R. Reece, Senior Pastor).  The Lord called him to continue this faithful service in ministry in Maryland. to  

In August 2015, Rev. Dr. Emil Thomas, Founder of Destiny Church of Maryland, passed the baton of the pastorate to Pastor G.  Under Pastor Walsh, Destiny Church is a church on the grow with Sunday Word and Worship Celebration Service and Transformation Tuesday (Adult Bible Study & Youth Study Hall).

Pastor G has a passion for sharing the Word of God and a heart for people.  He continues to focus Destiny Church as the destination of “Healing, Hope, and Harmony for all. Pastor G believes that through constant biblical training and trust in the Lord, he and the Destiny Church Family will continue to grow towards the plan that God has designed JUST for them!

Pastor Walsh is a native of San Francisco, CA.  He resides in Charles County, MD with his wife, Valencia and their two sons Chancellor and Chaise. He is also the proud father of daughter Anjanique who resides in San Francisco, CA.
